About The Dalton Pen

Established in 1993 by Warwick Publishing, The Dalton Pen Communications Awards program is a prestigious, international evaluation forum designed to recognize outstanding projects in the communications field. The competition honors communicators whose inspired projects and programs stand out from the other pieces of remarkable work submitted to the program.

While communicators already know the gratification and personal rewards of creating a particular project, winners of The Dalton Pen Awards benefit from the following:

An engraved trophy
Judges' comments
Opportunity to post winning entries in the Winner's Gallery
Invitation to submit biography to the Winners' Profile section
Inclusion in promotion of the Winners' List and other media relations
Rights to reprint The Dalton Pen winner logo
Rights to post The Dalton Pen winner insignia

Whether a newscast, sports report, magazine, web site, video, or brochure, The Dalton Pen serves to reward the communicator whose works are especially clever, effective, inventive and creative.

Origins and New Focus

After years of commitment to designing effective communications programs for its clients, including the design of an internal awards program for Hewlett-Packard, Warwick Publishing decided to host a communications awards program of its own for the benefit of the communications community worldwide. Thus, in 1993, The Dalton Pen was created. Recently, after over 20 years as an agency, Warwick Publishing made a major shift by redefining its scope to focus solely on The Dalton Pen Communications Awards. The 2004 program reflects a major effort to enhance the awards competition through the expansion of categories, implementation of higher standards, creation of a more exclusive program, and a restructuring of policies and procedures. We hope you will enjoy what Warwick Publishing has to offer!

The Legacy of Warwick Publishing

Founded in 1981 by Linda Warwick, Warwick Publishing began primarily as a corporate communications agency. The company started by providing services ranging from internal communications to marketing communications to public relations. Warwick Publishing's first-tier client list includes Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Agilent Technologies, and Acteva. Through the years, Linda Warwick expanded the company's focus by producing and launching the successful marketing campaign behind the Billboard hit children's videos "BABYMUGS!" and "Toddler TOGS." These videos achieved multi-platinum sales status. Linda Warwick has appeared on talk shows including Oprah, Dateline NBC, LEEZA, and the BBC's Big Breakfast Club, and was featured in publications including TIME, People, Elle, Parenting, Ladies' Home Journal, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. She was also the subject of Young & Rubicam's ad campaign for their client, People magazine.
