CANON U.S.A, Corporate Development Division Mr. Zapata is responsible for searching, analyzing and proposing strategic investments in technology ventures for Canon. He has international experience developing markets, leading products, marketing and sales activities for technology products in the USA, Europe, Latin America and Japan for both Adobe Systems, and for Xerox, Santiago, Chile -- his native county. At Xerox, he defined and implemented the market development strategy for "document workflow" products, and affected corporate strategy by working directly with senior corporate executives, advising them in product strategy for Latin America regarding the selling process, pricing, positioning, competition, etc. Mr. Zapata developed business cases based on "enterprise solutions" which significantly increased the average revenue per sale. Several of these solutions became case studies for Xerox. He has also worked in this arena for Unisys, Santiago, Chile. Mr. Zapata's professional achievements include being recognized in prior years as Best Marketing Analyst in Xerox Latin America, "Xerox Over the Top" best employee in Marketing and Sales, Santiago, Chile, and "Best Consulting Engineer," Xerox, Santiago, Chile.
