eBay, Search Design Engineer

For all of the times you've typed in "Pez or Matchbox cars" in the window on the eBay site and clicked "search," you were using some of the logic and development Ms. Nace contributed to the design of the search system. Search enables you to find your item from a bucket of millions of other items which are entering and exiting the system constantly. Ms. Nace's contributions to the search system have impacted millions of users worldwide for over four years, and is a legacy to eBay and technology development around the world.

Other notable accomplishments include designing and developing software for VISA International that was used in a custom desktop search engine. Ms. Nace designed and developed software for INSWEB.com to handle auto insurance filtering and rating for consumers which transformed the legacy rating software into an automation server. For United Webs, she developed a directory system for use in web-based ecommerce products.
