DALTON PEN AWARDS  Policies & Terms of Service

Terms of Use
By entering into the Dalton Pen Awards program, the entrant agrees to Warwick Publishing’s terms of service
and understands Warwick Publishing’s commitments to the entrant.

Privacy Policy

  • No mailing addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers or personal data will ever be shared, rented out or distributed in any form or fashion. All entered data is completely private and protected.
  • Entrants have the option to request that entries be destroyed immediately after the judging process by checking a box on the online entry form.
  • Other than the Dalton Pen program, no other products or services will be offered to entrants via internet, telephone or mail.

Judging

  • If a judge has prior affiliation with an entrant, s/he is asked not to judge that particular category.
  • The judges for the Dalton Pen Awards apply for the position on a voluntary basis. They must be director level or above with over 20 years experience in the corporate communications, marketing, business development, engineering, entertainment, public relations, advertising or marketing communications fields. Only the most qualified judges are selected and invited back.
  • Neither the judges, nor Warwick Publishing discriminate against anyone of any gender, race, creed, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, age or physical challenge. The decision of the judges is subject to review by the Dalton Pen Awards officers, prior to finalization. The location and exact time of the judging will not be revealed to keep the competition as protected and impartial as possible.

Deadlines

  • Warwick Publishing reserves the right to change any posted deadlines for submissions without notice. Extensions to the final deadline are up to the discretion of Warwick Publishing on a case by case basis.
  • Deadlines, fees and rules vary from year to year. Entrants should carefully review the Daltonpen.com Web site each year, and check regularly for changes or updates.

Awards

  • Typically there are two statuses for winning: Excellence and Merit.  Additionally, a few Awards of Honor may be given.  Excellence, Merit and Honor all receive

trophies.

  • Occasionally there may be a list of notable entries posted at the bottom of the Winners’ List.  Notable entries do not receive a trophy, judges comments or a  notification letter. All entrants should check the Winners’ List to see if they are on the notable list. There is no guarantee there will be a notable list at all.
  • There is no charge for the trophies of winning entries.
  • Duplicates are available for a fee – fee amount is posted on the Web site.
  • Once notified, to receive a trophy winner MUST go to the “Winners’ Circle” on the Daltonpen.com Web site, login, and verify or edit the information to appear on the trophy, and the shipping information.  An entrant will not receive a trophy otherwise. It takes approx 6-8 weeks before the trophies are shipped.
  • The list of the winners will be available on the Daltonpen.com Web site within 60 days of the conclusion of the annual event.

Award Notification

  • Only award winners will be notified by mail that they won and will receive the judges’ collective comments.  Non-winners do not receive a letter, nor the judges comments for their entry.
  • All entrants – winners and non-winners - will be notified via email that the winners have been selected, and invited to view the Winners’ List which is posted on the Daltonpen.com Web site to verify their winning status and to see if they are on the “Notable” list. “Notable” entries are not considered winning entries and those entrants are not notified by mail.
